The heel is finished with rubber for an excellent grip. Unlike other shoes with a fixed heel height, the heel on a Nike shoe is proportional to the size of the shoe with a size 9 men's shoe having roughly a 1" heel. The toe box is made of molded leather, featuring a work boot like fit in the toe area and run wider than average athletic shoes.
